Dr. Mkhize manages the internal support systems that enable the entire municipality to function. This includes human resources, information technology, legal services, communications, and corporate governance, ensuring our staff have the tools and systems they need to succeed.
Dr Mkhize’s qualifications include, but not limited to; a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Management Sciences, Leadership and Complexity from the Durban University of Technology, Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pretoria, Municipal Finance Management Programme from the Regent Business School and a Local Government Accounting Certificate from ATCOR, an institution that specializes in the SAICA Training Programme and developing finance professionals. Dr Mkhize has also lectured at the Durban University of Technology.

Effective management of Council support through accurate minute-taking, recording, thus ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance. Accurate recording of data as well as effective management of municipal properties and facilities.

• Administer the processes and provide support in the preparations, invitations, reviews, approvals and dissemination of meeting agendas, minutes and action arising from the recommendations and resolutions of meetings of Council and its committees

• Accurately capture and update data at registry. Record keeping, analyse data to identify trends, patterns and insights.
