Mrs. Mncube leads one of our most visible departments. She is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including roads, storm management and public buildings, forming the very backbone of our service delivery.
The department is responsible, among other functions, for the provision of infrastructure to residents and other basic services affecting our communities on a daily basis.
The core functions of the Department are as follows:
- Roads and Storm Water
- Vehicles Plant and Equipment Services
- Contracts and Projects Services
- Electricity Services
Report Electricity Faults
To report:-

▪︎ Non-functional streetlights
▪︎ Non-collection of refuse
▪︎ Vehicle accidents
▪︎ Disaster caused by floods, fires, snow or fallen trees

Electrical faults in uMngeni Local Municipality are handled by uMgungundlovu District Municipality.
